Season of Blood is the second seasonal content update for Diablo IV. It will begin on October 17, 2023, and will introduce a new questline, vampiric powers, and 5 additional endgame bosses. The theme of this season is vampires, and the class changes will reflect this.

The class changes in Season of Blood are designed to make the game more challenging and rewarding for players who want to play as a vampire hunter. Here are some of the changes that have been announced so far:

  • Barbarian:
    • The Barbarian will be able to use new shouts and abilities that increase their damage and survivability against vampires.
    • They will also be able to use a new vampiric power that allows them to heal themselves by drinking the blood of their enemies.
    • The Frenzy skill will now deal increased damage to vampires.
    • The Whirlwind skill will now grant the Barbarian immunity to bleed damage from vampires.
    • The War Cry skill will now grant the Barbarian a stacking buff that increases their damage and resistance to vampiric attacks.
  • Druid:
    • The Druid will be able to transform into new forms that are specifically designed to fight vampires.
    • They will also be able to use new vampiric powers, such as the ability to drain the blood of their enemies.
    • The Werewolf form will now deal increased damage to vampires.
    • The Bear form will now grant the Druid immunity to bleed damage from vampires.
    • The Feral Spirit skill will now apply a debuff to enemies that makes them take increased damage from the Druid's attacks.
  • Necromancer:
    • The Necromancer will be able to summon new types of undead creatures, including vampires.
    • They will also be able to use new vampiric powers, such as the ability to drain the blood of their enemies.
    • The Raise Skeleton skill will now summon a new type of skeleton that is specifically designed to fight vampires.
    • The Bone Armor skill will now grant the Necromancer a stacking buff that increases their damage and resistance to vampiric attacks.
    • The Siphon Blood skill will now deal increased damage to vampires and heal the Necromancer for a portion of the damage dealt.

These are just a few of the class changes that have been announced for Season of Blood. Blizzard is still working on the final balance changes, so it is possible that some of these changes may be modified before the season begins.

In addition to the class changes, Season of Blood will also introduce a number of other new features, including:

  • A new questline that takes players on a journey to hunt down the vampires that are terrorizing Sanctuary.
  • 5 additional endgame bosses that are themed around vampires.
  • A new way to manage your gems.
  • A way to carry over Paragon Points, Skill Points, Potion Charges, and Obol capacity upgrades between seasons.

Season of Blood is a great opportunity to experience new content and challenges in Diablo IV. If you're a fan of vampires, then this is the season for you!
